Event Media

State of the City

The City of Stanton's State of the City event that took place on June 26, 2025 marked the official unveiling of the city's newly redesigned branding and website. The evening included a brief presentation from city leaders, family-friendly activities, complimentary dinner for the first 100 registrants, and concluded with a "Symphony on the Go" performance to celebrate the community’s new chapter.
In preparation for the City of Stanton’s State of the City event, I supported both promotion and event logistics. My responsibilities included creating floral arrangements, preparing gifts, and assisting with sound system and décor setup to ensure a smooth event experience. On the design side, I used Canva to produce various media assets, including a raffle ticket with a vintage amusement park style. While playful in design, I ensured that the messaging remained clear and visually consistent with the city’s new branding—incorporating the updated fonts, color palette of beige and emerald green, and overall modern aesthetic.

Kids' Night Out

Kids' Night Out" is a monthly program hosted by the City of Stanton's Community Services Department, providing children ages 6–11 with a fun-filled evening of themed activities. Children can enjoy a variety of recreation games, arts and crafts, special presentations, and movies, all designed to offer a safe and engaging environment for kids while giving parents a well-deserved night off.
Kids’ Night Out is a staff-led event designed to provide children ages 6–11 with a safe, engaging, and memorable evening of games, crafts, and themed activities. In this role, I managed all aspects of planning and execution, including budget management to source food, materials, and activity supplies; scheduling and creating a detailed timeline for setup, programming, and cleanup; and assigning and supervising staff to ensure each station—such as activity tables, food distribution, and child supervision—ran smoothly. I also coordinated logistics for tables, chairs, sound systems, and decorations, and oversaw safety compliance to ensure a secure environment for all attendees. Additionally, I designed and implemented all event programming, including creating themed games, crafts, and activities, and developed creative media. I handled registration and attendance tracking, monitored participant engagement throughout the event, and anticipated potential challenges, implementing contingency solutions to keep the program running seamlessly. After the event, I helped summarize outcomes and provide feedback for future improvements through post-event evaluations for myself and my staff that worked. By managing every aspect of the event—from planning and logistics to design and execution—I contributed to a well-organized, fun, and professional experience that delighted both children and the community.
On the creative side, I leverage Canva to produce custom media that enhances the experience, including themed certificates, game instructions, and signage that align with the event’s visual identity. For example, in the images below, I created Pokémon-themed certificates and instructional materials that tied seamlessly into the theme, keeping children engaged and creating a cohesive, memorable experience. By combining strategic event planning, staff leadership, and creative design, I help deliver events that are organized, fun, and professionally executed for the community.
